Kigali, Rwanda — December 5, 2025 The ICT Innovation Center, in partnership with KOICS and Rwanda Polytechnic (RP), proudly celebrated the achievements of 29 youth trainees and startup innovators during the Final Performance Sharing and Certification Event held yesterday at Lemigo Hotel.
These trainees successfully completed the KOICA Youth Volunteer Program (Digital), 3rd Cohort, receiving certificates for their exceptional performance in Game Development, Mobile App Development, and Digital Marketing.
Empowering the Next Generation of Digital Innovators
Over the past four months, the 29 trainees from the ICT Innovation Center underwent intensive hands-on training in:
Mobile Application Development using Flutter
Unity 3D Game Development
Digital Marketing and Branding
AI-powered design and content creation
Multimedia and startup-focused projects
Through these programs, the trainees developed practical prototypes, including playable games, functional mobile apps, and fully designed marketing campaigns for early-stage startups.

Representatives from Rwanda Polytechnic and the ICT Innovation Center emphasized the program’s role in equipping youth with market-ready digital skills to support Rwanda’s rapidly growing ICT sector.

During the certification ceremony, trainees presented their projects to partners, instructors, and invited guests. The exhibition included:
Mobile apps developed using Flutter
Playable Unity 3D games
Digital marketing campaigns and branding assets
Startup support projects integrating AI and multimedia tools
All 29 trainees received certificates, formally recognizing their expertise and readiness to enter the workforce or launch innovative startups in Rwanda’s digital economy.
